Digamber Jain Society for Child Welfare (Regd.) established Modern School, Vaishali, in 2002 on GDA-allotted land. The school was founded with the vision of fostering a culture of excellence and providing high-quality education to young learners.
Since its inception, the school has expanded significantly, reaching the Senior Secondary level. The new building, constructed on additional GDA-allotted land, is equipped with modern facilities to support effective learning.
Recognized by the National Commission for Minority Educational Institutions, Government of India, under Article 30(1) of the Indian Constitution, Modern School, Vaishali, offers a secular education that embraces diversity and promotes tolerance, brotherhood, and understanding. The school admits students from all sections of society, regardless of caste, class, or creed.
In the year 1969, some philanthropists of the Jain Community living in Delhi and New Delhi felt that they should establish an institution commemorating the Jainism Philosophy of “ अहिंसा परमो धर्मा ” that is to bring up a generation with high human values and concern for all living creatures of the Earth. Digamber Jain Society for child Welfare (Minority Society) was organized and registered under the Societies Registration Act in Delhi under the Society Registration Act XXI of 1860 and Punjab Amendment Act 1957. The society is registered under section 12 AA and 80 G of Income Tax Act. Any donations made to the society are exempted from income Tax as per the law.
Since its inception, the society has undertaken and organized several projects for the welfare of children in Delhi and other states, besides establishing several public schools. During the International Children’s year 1979, the Society further extended its activities to Faridabad, Noida & Vaishali. Taking into consideration the pressing educational need in the growing city of Ghaziabad, the society gave a humble start to MODERN SCHOOL on the land allotted by GDA. Its name and fame grew fast.
